Washington DC Temple & Sam's Wedding

Saturday, (still at Dad's house) we woke up and went to the DC temple which is only half an hour away. We didn't make a reservation so when we got there, we happened to be doing baptisms with a big group of missionaries and their recent converts! It was really neat to be there and help people understand the significance and answer questions for them, as this was the first time any of them had been yet. I love going to this temple because both times I've been there, I've been escorted through the main entrance of the temple, through the waiting rooms and past the mural and taken downstairs to the baptistry getting a mini tour of the inside of the temple.
After doing baptisms, I was getting ready again and a woman approached me who was there with her daughter for the first time and they were from West Virginia. It was really cool to get to talk with her and learn about how she had become active and married her husband who is now a bishop in Morgantown.

Saturday evening was the wedding for one of my best friends from college. This was the main reason for our trip home at this time, and it was so wonderful to get to see college friends and watch Sam marry her high school sweetheart. Their wedding was at a beautiful historic manor in Berryville, VA and I had the most handsome date.

 Another best friend from college, Shanna, was the maid of honor.
